Role Overview:
The Shop Foreman oversees daily ISO tank yard operations, equipment readiness, and crew performance while serving as the primary hands-on technical leader. This role balances leadership, operational decision-making, and direct field work to ensure safe, efficient movement, inspection, storage, and handling of ISO tanks. This position is at our Troutdale, OR location!

Shift: Monday-Friday 8am-4pm
Pay Range: $28-$34/hr based on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead day-to-day yard operations for ISO tank storage, handling, inspection, and movement
- Assign work, set priorities, and adjust plans based on operational needs and business demands
- Serve as the first point of escalation for operational or equipment issues
- Evaluate problems quickly and determine whether issues are mechanical, procedural, or operator-related
- Maintain working knowledge of depot/yard software systems and operational workflows
- Perform hands-on work as needed: equipment operation, minor mechanical troubleshooting, inspections, and support tasks
- Conduct quality checks on completed work and enforce operational standards
- Lead and develop ISO Tank Operators/Yard Hands through coaching, training, and performance guidance
- Promote safe work practices and ensure compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements
- Communicate expectations clearly and consistently to the crew
- Coordinate with operations, maintenance, and leadership on priorities and constraints
- Plan ahead for equipment availability, workload shifts, and operational risks

Required Skills & Experience
- Experience in ISO tank operations, yard logistics, or related heavy equipment environment
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to assess equipment condition and operational risk
- Familiarity with inspections, yard safety practices, and tank handling procedures
- Experience leading crews or acting as a working lead/operator
- Proficiency with operational software and reporting tools
- Strong communication, prioritization, and decision-making skills
Preferred Skills:
- Welding or mechanical repair familiarity
- Prior supervisory or foreman experience
- Experience in tank storage, intermodal logistics, or chemical transport environments
