General Manager

The General Manager is responsible for the management of the facility, productivity, high level P& L and creating a highly safe and desirable work environment. Strong motivation to grow the business and support change within the DCI culture. This is a Union shop under the Maintenance, IBC, and Tank wash lines of business.

Strong preference for a bilingual (Spanish) candidate

Salary: 100,000.00 per year plus bonus

Responsibilities:

  • Manage shop productivity and KPI's.
  • Ensure effective Union employee relations and positive morale through communication, coaching and personnel development while resolving employee issues fairly and effectively within the guidelines of company policy.
  • Improve work standards and meet all objectives for housekeeping, quality, productivity and cost by continuous employee guidance and development.
  • Understand and comply with all safety requirements at all times, work safely every day and encourage all team members to do the same.
  • High level P&L management
  • Build relationships with customers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Associates Degree or combination of education and experience in a related field.
  • 7-10 years’ experience in a truck shop environment preferred.
  • Parts and general mechanical knowledge preferred.
  • Comfortable managing P&L and KPIs.
  • Proven development of high performance teams.
  • Commitment to an extreme safety culture where safety is the first consideration before starting any task.
  • Proficient in problem analysis, problem solving and successful resolution.
  • Customer focused with strong ability to build rapport with customers.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
